German Marketplace for Contemporary Art

The ARTe art fair offers “contemporary art for the region” in the Sindelfingen exhibition hall from 1 to 4 March. Around 140 selected galleries and artists will present their contemporary art over these four days.

ARTe has now replaced its previous sister fair “Antik & Kunst” and has its own date. It is intended to become a lively marketplace for contemporary art that reflects the art scene in the region. The 140 exhibitors want to cover a broad spectrum from sculpture, graphics and paintings to photographic art. “In addition to representatives of the art scene from the region, for which ARTe is an important home game, there are artists and galleries from all over Germany and abroad,” explains project manager Andreas Kerstan, who runs an area in the Stuttgart gallery house in Breitscheidstraße.

The trade fair opens with a vernissage on Thursday, 1 March from 5 pm to 9 pm. On Friday and Saturday the fair is open from 11 to 20 o’clock, on Sunday from 11 to 18 o’clock. Admission costs 10 euros, reduced 8 euros (free under 16 years).
